John Williams, Senior Project Manager, shared some insight into the next and final steps of the building construction. "Construction continues to move forward both inside and outside of our new factory. Additionally, we await major electrical components for the factory and office infrastructure that have been delayed," Williams said. "With some luck, we should see these items arriving in early July."

Roofing installation continues as Camfil await the delivery of roofing clips that were damaged in the high winds earlier this spring. Williams said that the factory will be completely enclosed and taking shape in the next couple of weeks and will begin to "look more like a Camfil Factory."

"Our building infrastructure and equipment continue with equipment deliveries in July that include air compressors, compressed air dryers, nitrogen generation systems, compressed air loop, weld gas liners and nitrogen piping in progress," Williams said. "Our municipal groups are working to complete the expansion of underground utilities to the site which should conclude in July with the final connections to Camfil's new factory."

Final June and July projects include City of Jonesboro inspections, framing for the second floor, final civil works of the property including roads, driveways, green spaces and parking lots. Currently the signature green stripe is being added to the building.

America is wrestling with the worst energy crisis in nearly five decades, a period of high prices and limited supply. The rise of fracking, which extracts oil and gas from shale rock, unlocked cheap domestic supplies while cleaner energy provided by wind and solar farms became far less expensive. It came undone thanks to a haphazard transition to renewable energy, reduced investment in oil and gas production, political inaction and unexpected economic forces triggered by the pandemic and lockdowns.

U.S. farm equipment maker Deere & Co will be moving production of mower conditioners, which are tractor attachments with rolling discs to cut and crush hay, from a factory in Ottumwa, Iowa, to an existing plant in Mexico over the next 18 months, the company said. The company told Reuters late on Thursday the number of employees impacted by the move from the Iowa plant would depend on several factors, but that around 80 worked on the mower-conditioner production line with support from 10 salaried employees. The plant in the northern Mexican city of Monterrey already makes "hay and forage" attachments, according to a John Deere spokesman, and the move was motivated by the desire to make all of the equipment in that category in the same place.
